MEANING

How to find a clam at low tide you ask? With bucket and shovel/pick at hand, I walked along the shore, and looked for many tiny little holes in the mud. That’s where I started digging! Occasionally, these clams would squirt salt water at me as I dug or walk by, but no worries, it was a sign that I picked the right spot to gather that evening bucket of clams.
