Born and raised Acadian, I have a strong connection to the UNESCO World heritage site of Grand-Pré. This site commemorates the settlement of Acadians as well as their deportation in1755. This tile design highlights the simple church found on the historical site. The flowered design is inspired by the tips of the Deportation Cross found on site in 1925. This creation brings together the love of art and strong cultural heritage.
—————— MY CREATIVE PROCESS The background is hand painted using natural pigments sourced in Morocco. The flower elements start with a simple hand illustration, are digitized, and everything is brought together on screen with final elements added in. The result, this beautiful Art Print.
—————— PRINT DETAILS This listing is for an un-matted and unframed open edition 8"X 8" art print that is from an original design created by me. This design is printed on white, professional, high quality paper. The paper has beautiful subtle texture and a slight sheen.
